Hex Machine's new album Cave Painting – its first new music since 2012 – is out today.
Listen and buy, here:

Heavy, jagged noise-rock of the Melvins/Jesus Lizard school brushes up against moody guitars and dramatic vocals nodding to '80s influences like Killing Joke, Psychedelic Furs (whose song "President Gas" gets covered), and Cocteau Twins! A truly unique slab of sound, marking the return of this long-running Richmond band, two-thirds of whom put in some years as members of Today Is The Day. A US tour kicks off in July.

"With the riffy approach of middle-period Melvins and the bendy blues of Unsane, [Cave Painting] is a ripper of the noisiest order."
–Revolver
“It’s noisily rockin’... It’s mathy and challenging but you can bob your head to it... A warpedly melodic, intellectually inebriated, topsy turvy mish mash.”
–Aversionline
"If you’ve ever wondered what might happen if Melvins and The Jesus Lizard were bred with the Dischord Records catalog, Hex Machine is for you. Listen loud."
–Decibel
