Know//Suffer's new EP, The Great Dying, is out today on Silent Pendulum Records.
From El Paso, Texas, Know//Suffer wields a dark strain of death metal-infused hardcore, fronted by a poetic lyricist who rejects all tough-guy expectations; mosh pit terror meets heart-on-sleeve vulnerability, as if the brute force of Code Orange and the emotional depth of Burn were united under one Texas roof. Theirs is a unique blend of modern metallic riffage and genuine, stripped-down feeling.
“Bludgeoning grooves… feeling like Xibalba with Meshuggah’s guitar tone.”
–The Quietus
"On their new EP The Great Dying, Know//Suffer contort their unique sound in ways that no other band could... The songs on the EP are dotted with enough Gojiran guitar dynamics and old-school hardcore unpredictability that they’re perpetually ominous and exciting."
–The Pit
"Know//Suffer’s new EP spin-kicks the listener with a brand of hardcore that is at once raw but professional and bursting with sincere energy. The Great Dying may only be 15-minutes long, but it roars, chugs and beats down with the best of them..."
–Last Rites
