Signed to the legendary Amphetamine Reptile Records, Chicago duo mr.phylzzz – vocalist/guitarist Clinton Jacob and drummer Danny Sein – deliver an irreverent take on noise rock, lacing their songs with epic hooks and dark humor. Playful and theatrical in a way that most bands would not dare, this pair thrives on the subversion of all expectations. Out today, new album Fear the Lord features falsetto vocals, pianos, unorthodox percussion, and soaring arena rock vibes, amidst raw, sludgy pummeling.

mr.phylzzz is right at home on AmRep, the label that has come to define an entire sub-genre of iconoclastic music. Furthermore, it was revealed last month that frontman Jacob is 1/4 of Gatta Morta, the new AmRep supergroup featuring Buzz Osborne (The Melvins), Coady Willis (The Melvins, Big Business) and JD Pinkus (Butthole Surfers).
