“Recorded by Toshi Kasai, it's another sonic freakout that storms between avant jazz, classic rock, post-hardcore, and noise rock inclinations, wandering their own deviant path into oblivion.”
- Post-Trash
Stream the track “Mowing Machine” feat. Justin Pearson, described via Post-Trash as "a blistering noise punk odyssey", here.
LA eclectic art-noise-punk-jazz duo Qui’s latest LP, Snuh, extrapolates on their genre-bending brand of avant-garde rock. Working again with long time producer Toshi Kasai, the duo has integrated more shades of unlikely forms and timbres along with their always-present penchant for abrasive noise punk. Snuh is at once both playful and belligerent, switching abruptly from heavy to soft, screaming to crooning, sweet to hostile.
Snuh is being released by Three One G Records on August 3rd.
It will be available digitally on iTunes as well as physically through Three One G Records on 100 pink and 200 black 180 gram vinyl, and a free CD will be included with vinyl purchase. Preorder here.
Records will also be available via Antena Krzyku, Macina Dischi will be releasing the album on CD, and Sweatband Records will be releasing a limited run of cassettes.
Upcoming shows:
August 3rd - Los Angeles, CA @ The Echo w/ Retox
