No Echo states: “On their forthcoming album, and ninth release in less than a decade, Halo Castration Institute, Intercourse crystalize all of their varied sonic influences into an aural maelstrom that metalheads, record store clerks, AmRep devotees, and outsider hardcore vinyl collectors will approve of.”

Intercourse's seedy mix of noise rock and mosh is constructed from eerie tones,
primitive breakdowns, and frontman Tarek Ahmed's strangulated roar. Of the new single, he states: "This song is about the unrelenting grind of life under capitalism."

The song's guest vocals come courtesy of Peter Kovalsky (Ether Coven, Remembering Never).
