Based in Manchester, New Hampshire, Justifications is a new band featuring vocalist Guy Kozowyk and guitarist Kevin Rampelberg, both founding members of The Red Chord, alongside guitarist Mark MacDonald (Austrian Death Machine), bassist Jason Edney, and drummer Tony Hersey. As Justifications, these five deliver a spirited brand of metallic hardcore, bursting with energy and memorable lyrics, recommended highly for fans of Nails, Terror, and Turmoil. "Justifications is intended to be direct and fun," says Kozowyk. "A knee-jerk reaction to the world around us."

On the rousing new call to action, "Male Bonding," Kozowyk encourages his fellow men to stop whining about their problems and put that energy into a creative outlet instead: "Don’t talk about how you feel / Try to keep it in / Write it down, make some sounds, start a hardcore band," he barks.

To help drive home the message, Kozowyk enlisted the legendary Candace Buckingham, known as one of the preeminent hardcore frontwomen of her generation, as a guest vocalist. Kozowyk and Buckingham's friendship dates back to the early days of Walls of Jericho and The Red Chord.

He states: "Candace is the pioneer of forcing females to the front of hardcore. For decades she has brought unmatched vicious energy and showed that the girls can bring it just as hard as anybody. We were honored when she accepted our invitation to tear it up on a track about making noise with the boys!"

Recorded by Kevin Billingslea (Lamb of God, Cruel Hand) and mixed and mastered by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Rob Zombie), The Race to Expiration will see a 2027 release on Black Market Activities, the label owned and operated by Kozowyk. In the meantime, stay tuned for more singles featuring more special guests.

Fans on the East Coast can catch the band live on tour this fall with Darkest Hour and more.
