Invisible Oranges reports: “These Connecticut crusaders meld the crushing noise of The Jesus Lizard with ample hardcore influences, prompting lead singer Tarek Ahmed to quip: ‘We’re too weird for a lot of the hardcore scene and too aggro for the weird scene.’ Pounding drums give way to Ahmed’s pained and shouted vocals, while guitars have you bobbing and bouncing to the crazed atmosphere…”
The new track is inspired in part by the story of hit man Richard “The Iceman” Kuklinski. "We’ve had a running theme throughout the band's history, about the loss of innocence and becoming increasingly desensitized to the world around you." says Ahmed. "There’s a lot of songs about the fucked up characters I’ve grown up around and there’s a ton of true crime references. 'Iceman’s Tears' is about Richard 'The Iceman' Kuklinski’s sentimental side."
New album Halo Castration Institute drops May 5th via Learning Curve Records.
