Los Angeles crushers Lockslip have released new single "Vengeance (You'll Be Seen By Your God).”
"Vengeance (You'll Be Seen By Your God)" is the second single to be revealed from the band's upcoming new album, The Conversation, coming November 6th on Bleakhouse.

"Vengeance (You'll Be Seen By Your God)” exemplifies Lockslip's style: a metallic hardcore stampede, marked by breakneck drumming, world-ending breakdowns, and lustrous melodic passages appearing like sunlight through storm clouds. While the quintet cruises through multiple time signatures and wields fiery chops inspired by the likes of The Dillinger Escape Plan, the shredding is done in service of something bigger. Lockslip's real power lies in its emotional impact – a sense of bleeding-heart urgency and runaway-train momentum that brings to mind the great Converge. Vocalist Sara G delivers every word with absolute conviction, as if drawing from a bottomless well of horror. "The state of the world is complex, it’s dark, and it’s unpredictable, so we want to write music that reflects those anxieties," says G.
On "Vengeance (You'll Be Seen By Your God),” a song condemning abusers, she screams: "Hide behind good deeds while you sow the seeds / You’ll be seen by your god / Burying the truth, altering the youth / You’ll be seen by us all."
"A recurring theme throughout this album is one of consequences," she states. "This song was inspired by someone close to me who survived abuse while in the Boy Scouts. This led me to learn of the close connection between the Boy Scouts and the Catholic Church in their efforts to protect themselves against accountability. People in power, so-called righteous people, perpetrating heinous acts against those meant to trust them. Surely if their afterlife is real, they can't escape judgement."
Shot and edited by Harper King, the "Vengeance (You'll Be Seen By Your God)” music video consists of footage from Lockslip's tour of the Pacific Northwest and Canada in August 2026. The video mixes lighthearted moments from the road with scenes of Lockslip's live assault, showing the band tear through the new single as G stalks the stage (or floor), completely immersed in the moment and exuding pure wrath. The band will travel to Gainesville, Florida in October to play the The Fest 24.
Coming November 6th, The Conversation was recorded and mixed by Lockslip drummer Noah Baxter at Dichotic Studios and mastered by Nick Townsend (Nails, Angel Du$t). Eleven tracks in all, the album features guest appearances by Todd Jones (Nails), Kathryn Edwards (Thirdface), and Bleakhouse owner King Yosef.
